Testimonials

We recently stayed in the company of Whiteswan Outfitters for a Hunt in October 2017.
Whilst it was beautiful countryside and great hunting the experience was made even more special by the hospitality provided by the entire crew at Whiteswan.

They were very aware of everyone’s wants and needs and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Joyce looked after the catering and is nothing but absolutely exceptional in the kitchen.
Cody was our guide and never tired of taking us as far as we needed to go to find whatever it was we were hunting on that day – never letting height or difficulty get in the way of achieving a good result for the hunt.
Darryl was a fantastic overall host, helping with the guiding, assisting in the kitchen and being an overall great help for whatever was needed.

The Sword’s that run Whiteswan are an amazing family and an absolute credit to Whiteswan.
They made our hunt all the better with the additional touches that made us feel right at home and part of their beautiful family.

We have not only made a good contact for hunting, we have also made friends for life.
We will definitely be hunting with Whiteswan Outfitters again and would recommend other hunters do the same.

I personally have been trophy hunting for over 15 years and this is by far one of the best outfitters I have ever hunted with.

Having hunted in south Africa many times I didn’t think that this could be beaten for the hunting experience.
But hunting in Arnhem land was one of the most memorable hunts I have ever had. I recommend this adventure to anyone that is interested in the traditional old way of hunting.
Arnhem land is like hunting is supposed to be, with no fences and free roaming animals and you walk for your game.

Graham William from Classic Arnhem land safaris is very thorough and professional with his hunting. His knowledge about the area and animals is second to none. Camp was very comfortable with all facilities on hand.
Camp staff were very friendly. The food was of a high standard and drinks were cold. All the Buffalo we hunted were of good trophy size .

I recommend to you to take the opportunity to book a trip with Classic Arnhem land safaris and see for yourselves how good this really is.

As the inventer and co owner of the Woodleigh Hydrostatically Stabilised bullet I am lucky enough to do a lot of hunting and shooting testing bullets.
In doing so I get to deal with lots of people and organisations in the hunting world.
The service and value for money that Ian & Chris provide is truely first class.
If your planning a safari of a lifetime to the Dark Continent I have no hesitation in recommending WSX.
Border Force permits are taken care of, permits to carry ammunition as well as assistance with local permits when you land in Jo burg.
Chris keeps you informed at every stage.
All you need to do is buy your airline tickets.
Ian being a very keen big game hunter himself makes it his business to hunt with the outfitters that he represents so quality and reliability is assured.
Its hunting in the pure sense, on foot and up close.

Great hunt, great people, great food. They put in a big effort, stalked 2 bears and dogged the other one, by far the best type of hunting I've done with you.

Gary Ashmead - June, 2017

In late May 2016 my son and I went to NZ for a red deer hunt with Bruce Flett from Naghere Game Ranch organized through World Safari Xpeditions.
We took two high quality red stags we were both very happy about. We found Bruce a great guy to be with, “a normal bloke”. I would recommend him as an outfitter to anybody.

“Ian and Chris made my first bear hunt very exciting and something I’ll never forget. They made me feel extremely confident travelling overseas, by myself, to meet up with their highly recommended Outfitter. The Outfitter they organised for me was the most welcoming and generous Canadian family. I was secretly hoping they would adopt me as their adult daughter. Ian went above and beyond when he had to reassure my panicking mother in Australia that I would be OK when I hadn’t contacted her for a few days.

“Hi Ian and Chris,

Just a note to let you know that my twelve day Grizzly hunt in British Columbia with Whiteswan lake outfitters has just been completed. Hunting out of Cranbrook near Whiteswan Lake was certainly a picturesque location to hunt Grizzly in the amazing Rockies.

Not much happened on the first day with just a couple of black bears showing themselves whilst eating the lush green pick along the roadside. On the second day Tim the co-owner of Whiteswan walked up a quiet lonely road which led to a good feeding area that grizzlies often inhabit. He found good signs on the road, so up the hill for evening was the plan. The evening seems to be much more productive in relation to bear hunting. Walking in single file about two kls up the road Daryl suddenly stopped and signalled to get to the roads edge. A grizzly's head appeared around the corner looking slightly wary. After what seemed like an eternity it stepped out and began grazing on high protein green pick on the roads edge. At thirty three yards it was the most amazing sight I have ever witnessed. The bears silver tipped shoulders, chocolate brown legs with long white claws and brown hump stood out in the soft afternoon sun. Looking back at Daryl he gave the nod to touch the trigger on the 300wsm. A few seconds pause and the money shot was on its way and the trophy of a lifetime was on the ground.

Much back slapping and elation at getting me a grizzly really showed on the faces of these fantastic working guides. Their enthusiasm to get results was contagious. Everybody hooked in and we soon had the magnificent cape in Tim’s pack ready for the walkout. Daryl asked for my grizzly tag and honours were performed. The walk back down the mountain was a reflective and euphoric occasion - was this the pinnacle of my hunting life?

I am often asked when in my hunting room, 'which is your favourite trophy?' I think my thoughts will always drift back to the wild strawberies flowering high above the Kootenay river, the Rockies capped in snow reaching to the sky with the trophy of a lifetime standing on that grassy road .Thanks go to Ian and Chris of World Safari Expeditions for their flawless organization which always makes the journey so smooth and a special thanks Daryl, Tim ,Cody and Joyce from Whiteswan Lake Outfitters who made my dream a reality - they are true hardworking hunters

Their warmth, and desire to get results, is infectious and will stay with me always.

Thanks to all “The Grey Ghost”. Southern NSW

“Having hunted overseas previously I was very surprised at how much ground work World Safari X do in preparation for the hunts they organise. It made the whole process from export/import of rifles, customs, etc very smooth and stress free. The hunt in Mozambique far exceeded my expectations. I was able to not only get suburb trophies but also feel involved in the work done by a world class operator. I takes dedication from Ian and his team at WSX to track down the best hunting outfitters and give simply the best service.”

“This is my third trip with World Safari Xpeditions, and its still the most professionally run organization I have had the pleasure of using. Everything is taken care of, from all the paper work, to permits and authorities, to the pickups and drop off at the airports. From the moment you are picked up to the time of drop off you are made to feel welcome. All your needs are taken care of - Your accommodation and meals are of the highest quality -nothing is too much trouble. All the working staff there are excellent. My PH (Professional Hunter) Rick, was fantastic, he knew is job inside out. He was true to his title. Trackers and skinners also were fantastic and friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. All the hunting was exceptional. Game was plentiful, all of a high trophy standard. I am looking forward and can't wait for my next trip”

“In early August 2015 my son and I went on Safari to South Africa with Tshipise safaris, this safari was organized by World Safari Xpeditions. In the bush camp we were looked after with the greatest of service, we wanted for nothing, any drinks we asked for or any food requested was promptly delivered with a smile and a very comfortable camp it was. The food quality was exceptional, as was the hunting experience delivered by Peet.

Peet then took my son and I for a two day tour through Kruger National Park stopping over night at one of the park camps. Peet was exceptional at locating animals. I enjoyed this part of the safari, but for my son it was the highlight of his entire trip. We then ventured out of Kruger to the second hunting location. Again the food and hospitality was exceptional.

This was my second trip to Africa to hunt and was by far the greatest experience. Peet was exceptional with nothing being too much trouble. He looked after us in EVERY way. Also Chris at World Safari Xpeditions was also great with all bookings and firearm paperwork. It went like clockwork.

“Where do I begin? The Ngahere Game Lodge experience, facilitated by Chris and Ian, was a momentous trip. Being able to hunt red deer during the roar was an experience my father and I had always wished to pursue. The quality of game at Ngahere Game Lodge was breathtaking and several respectable stags were seen during our trip. Bruce is a charismatic and professional guide who displayed flexibility and heart felt congratulations when success followed. The accommodation, amazing food and great company presented by Bruce and Mieke was fantastic. Having the opportunity to hunt red deer during the roar, with my father in New Zealand, was a truly memorable experience made possible by World Safari Expeditions, Bruce and Mieke. Thank you. ”

“That was part 1 the next trip in early September was to South Africa & Namibia for a 3 week plains game / bird hunt, everything went according to plan the SA hunt with Tshipise Safaris, ware 7 species were taken, due to the hard working PH, Peet Bezuidenthout and his trackers!! will always be remembered.
The Namibian hunt with African Safari Trails, was my fist trip to that country and what a joy it was the Egyptian Geese, Doves & Pigeons kept me occupied for hours!! and the trip to the Kalahari region for Sand Grouse was fast and furious in the mornings and late afternoons and once again the meals were excellent, in some cases using the days harvested birds, nothing is wasted!!!.
The PH, Gerrit Utz, worked his butt off looking for Kudu, Gemsbok, Warthog and Steenbok for myself and two other hunters that joined me, once again I will have fond memories for life”

“. I was privileged to go on Ian Head's 60th Birthday Wingshoot in July. Birds were in abundance, therefore shooting was brilliant. Food and accommodation was 6 star. A big thank you to Ian for a fantastic and so well organised trip. The great company also made it a great time. If you need anything else, Chris, just let me know. ”

“My wife and I met Ian Head of World Safari Expeditions in 2013 at which point planning commenced for a safari which would be undertaken in the following year. The safari would consist of general sightseeing, a photographic safari and plains game hunt covering the countries South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Upon our arrival at Johannesburg Airport we were met by Ian’s representative from (Air 2000 Hunters Support) and expediently escorted through customs, to collect our baggage, firearm and ammunition.
All our travel and accommodation throughout our nineteen day trip was well coordinated. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff services and food were of the highest standard.
I was in impressed by the PH’s knowledge of the game to be hunted, his ethical standards of stalking whenever possible, instead of merely shooting from a vehicle and selecting the best trophies available.
The trackers and skinners were very capable and professional taking great care to ensure your trophy was not damaged.
We were very impressed by Ian and Christine Coles professionalism and enthusiasm, and their attention to detail all of which are necessary to ensure a successful and safe safari. It turned out to be a good decision.
I have no hesitation in recommending World Safari Expeditions for that ‘trip of a lifetime’. Planning is underway for a trip to South Africa and Zambia in 2016. Once is definitely not enough!”

“Ever since I was a young boy, shooting rabbits back in Wales I dreamed of hunting the big game of Africa. Now in my sixties, Ian and Chris helped make those dreams come true.
Nothing was left to chance when booking with Ian and Chris, absolutely everything was nailed down before my departure from Australia.
I hunted the buffalo that had been haunting my dreams for so many years with a great outfitter and can't wait to go back and visit them for my next safari.
I would not consider anyone else to organise my hunting safaris.
Thank you Ian and Chris for making this old man very happy.

“Thanks, it was a truly great, hard fought safari.
It had everything, from us being charged by 4 Dugger Boys (A Bachelor Herd of cape Buff’s)
To being growled at by a leopard @ 30 metres, wadding through croc infested rivers, our guide almost stepped on a horned adder, and was confronted by a Black Mumba,
and we had to use a helicopter to find my buff, (as all the trackers where not prepared to venture into the “thick stuff”).
Mind you we found the buff only 100 metres from where I originally shot it, on the last hour of the last day of our safari !!
Not to mention that we were confronted with “smugglers” from Zimbabwe, on a daily basis.
The tented camp was typical of a bygone safari era.
The food and drinks was, as always, exceptional.
The service 101%
The comradery was genuine
New friendships were made, old friendships rekindled, and I ask myself why am I sitting behind this desk when I should be planning my next adventure in the Dark Continent.
I have so many more ticks to cross-off in my Hunting Bucket List, and Africa will hopefully feature quite heavily in this list.
I really want an Elephant, and a Croc, and a Hippo, and Sable and……(I am not kidding!!!!!!!)

“I have recently returned from a magical African safari. The trip was an amazing experience exploring the diversity of South Africa, Botswana (the &Beyond Botswana Explorer) and Zimbabwe. I felt completely safe at all times and was met and greeted warmly at every destination stop. The food was amazing, the accommodation fabulous and being surrounded by the glorious animals was hard to describe. The Elephant Camp on the Zambezi River is a must and the majestic Victoria Falls were breathtaking. I highly recommend African Safari Expeditions as the company to organize your African adventure as they were fantastic to deal with. ”

“The trip to Argentina (‘La Pampa’) in June was a fantastic experience. The host Louis was a great organiser - the location of base camp, the hospitality of the people and the weather were also great. I have to hand it to the hunting guides, especially Charlie Watson (love that name), for taking us to prime spots for the ducks in the morning and pigeons and doves in the evening. We had lots of shooting and using autos again was fantastic. We had a great time and it is an experience I will keep in my memory bank - good stuff. We will do it again because ‘Once is Never Enough’. ”
