GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM

Our team is simply Ian Head and Christine Coles (Ian's Personal Assistant) - a small, efficient, hard working team wanting to organize a trip of a lifetime for you.

IAN HEAD

A country boy, Ian grew up in rural Victoria hunting, fishing and spear fishing.  It was here that he developed a love and respect for the Australian bush and preservation of its wildlife.

In 1994 for his landmark 40th birthday, Ian was given a surprise trip to Africa by his wife Pam. Africa became a passion for Pam and Ian, and after a number of adventures with family and friends, they saw the need for organized hunting trips.

They were constantly in demand for information on permits, accommodation, etc. and so World Class Wingshooting and Game Shooting Expeditions was founded. Now in its 15th year the business has evolved to cover more than just hunting and has a new name - World Safari Xpeditions.

Ian now spends many months of the year travelling and hunting with clients and for his personal pleasure. Pam has enhanced the business from a female point of view, continually discovering places of cultural and historical interest for partners who seek the African adventure without the hunt.

More recently Ian has travelled and hunted further a field, and his deep passion for Africa has now spread to Alaska and the wild Canadian wilderness. He has a passion for his chosen sport and a love of the outdoors and remote parts of the world. At 62 he is a man who feels blessed to be able to do something he loves as a job.

Ian is a For Life Member of Field and Game Australia, a member of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, a member of SCI Down Under Chapter and a Lifetime Member of Safari Club International. In 2009 with the growth of the business from both new and repeat clients, Christine Coles (Chris) joined WSX as Ian's Personal Assistant.

Ian tackles whatever he does with the same fervour, whether it's his home life, sport or work. As well as running WSX, Ian is the owner and Managing Director of OSA Brands, now in its 35th year of business.
