African Safari Trails offer true African safari experience in the heart of Namibia, with 20 rare species of game available including leopard, lion, elephant, roan and sable.

Your PH Gerrit Utz was born into the hunting business, having grown up on his father's hunting lodge. He has 20 years experience, is a member of SCI and Namibia Professional Hunters Association and a licensed Big Game Hunter. African Safari Trails offer two hunting areas, Damaraland & Kashjuna Hunting Lodge.

    HUNTING AREA


    Situated northeast of Windhoek & is a 90 minute drive from Windhoek International Airport. Offers hunting of more than 20 species on a 18,000 acre hunting farm. Their policy is to accommodate only one group of hunters at any one time. Hunting takes place from a 4X4 vehicle and once a suitable trophy is spotted, is carried out on foot. Kashjuna is well known for its exceptional trophy quality of roan, eland antelope and black wildebeest. Limit their hunts and practice sustainable hunting measures.

    The rainy season is generally from December until mid April.


    Vaccinations:

    Vaccinations: Tetanus-diphtheria vaccine is recommended for all travellers who have not received a tetanus-diphtheria immunization within the last 10 years.


    Malaria: Our hunting area and the concessions are Malaria free.

ACCOMODATION

DAMARALAND: 
Comprises tented bush camps with 2 spacious double tents available, with separate bathroom, running hot & cold water. 

Meals are enjoyed under the African sky and include tasty game dishes freshly prepared and cooked on the open fireplace.
KASHJUNA HUNTING LODGE: 
Comprises 5 spacious double guest rooms with ensuite facilities next to a traditional farmhouse. 

Meals of tasty game dishes and Namibian cuisine are freshly prepared every day and are shared together with the family.
