With 22 years experience hunting in New Zealand and overseas, Shaun has been on both sides; as a professional hunting guide and also a guided hunter. he prides himself on knowing the habits and habitats of the game you'll shoot - to give you the best possible chance of securing your trophy.  With his experiences and knowledge he will go that extra step to ensure you can expect exceptional hospitality and total commitment to your hunting experience.

HUNTING AREA:

Based in Ashburton, New Zealand, Mountain Ridge Trophy Hunting offers three to ten days hunting, Red Stag, Wapiti-Elk Bull, Fallow Buck, Whitetail, Tahr, Chamois, Wild Boar, Arapawa Ram and Alpine Goat, in some of the most breathtaking country you will see in New Zealand.

Our hunting season is from March through to August each year.  You can hunt for the deer species at anytime during the season, but if you wish to experience the rut or bugle then plan your hunt from early March to May.

ACCOMMODATION:

Crisp cold mornings and chilly New Zealand night are comfortably spent in cozy, comfortable farm stay accommodation with true country hospitality and hearty home cooked meals where you can relax and unwind after a long day's hunting.
