Mike & Lisa Carlson own and operate Larsen Bay Lodge. It is the oldest hunting and fishing operation in Larsen Bay, Alaska. Mike’s dad, Frank Carlson actually opened the lodge in 1979. Mike is a Shareholder in the surrounding Koniag Native Corporation which gives Larsen Bay Lodge access to native lands where outsiders are not permitted. He is a Registered Big Game Guide in the State of Alaska.

HUNTING AREA:
One hour flight in a light plane from the main town of Kodiak. Located on the outskirts of a remote village of approximately 70 residents, adjoining a 2 million acre refuge - hunting adventures abound at Larsen Bay Lodge. They have a long season and liberal limits on Sitka Blacktail Deer. Kodiak Island is known worldwide for BIG bears - hunting is conducted primarily from boats and 80% of harvested bear are shot on/or from the beach - so the bear hunting isn't difficult.
Larsen Bay Lodge also offer wonderful duck hunting for such exotic species as Harlequin and Barrow’s Goldeneye, as well as predator hunting for fox, (red, silver and cross).
ACCOMMODATION:
Our deluxe beachfront accommodations include 2 lodges and 4 private cabins. We are located on the beach so many of our rooms have incredible bay views. The main lodge has a large dining area with a beautiful stone fireplace. Social areas are equipped with satellite TV, card table and pool table. Suites and cabins have queen size beds, private bathrooms and decks.
