Rob Walter has been successfully operating Victoria Range for the past ten years. A great deal of time and effort goes into selecting breeding stock and good management of birds. The Victoria Range Game Reserve specializes in walk up type hunting of pheasant and partridge using pointing and flushing dogs. It is situated off the southern most point of the Victoria Range, which forms part of the famous Grampians mountain ranges in south-west Victoria, Australia
HUNTING AREA:
The terrain is predominantly flat, and very diverse in terms of the type of habitat allowing the hunter a variety of hunting situations to experience throughout the day. Situated on approximately 700 acres, the reserve offers hunting on open grassed areas, tussocks, river type rushes, bracken fern and a large area of timbered country with bracken fern undergrowth. All areas provide challenging and exciting game for both hunter and dogs. Dogs and guides are provided, however clients are more than welcome to bring their own dogs. Victoria Range caters for corporate groups right through to a hunt for just one person.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation is available at no extra cost at the reserve. This includes beds for 5 people, a pot belly stove and a small kitchen. For a little more luxury or comfort, accommodation at neighbouring property, South Mokanger is excellent.Also just 15 minutes away the Royal Mail Hotel is a 5 star facility in terms of both accommodation and fine dining
