Mike & Lisa Carlson own and operate Larsen Bay Lodge, the oldest hunting and fishing operation in Larsen Bay, Alaska. Mike's dad, Frank, actually opened the lodge back in 1979. Mike is a shareholder in the surrounding Koniag Native Corporation which gives Larsen Bay Lodge access to native lands where outsiders are not permitted. He is a registered big game guide in the State of Alaska.
One hours flight in a light plane from the islands main town of Kodiak and located on the outskirts of a remote village of apporoximately 70 residents and adjoining a 2 million acre refuge, hunting adventures abound at Larsen Bay Lodge.
The lodge offers wonderful opportunities for duck hunting for such exotic species as harlequin and Barrow's goldeneye, as well as predator hunting for red, silver and cross fox.
Beach front accommodation includes two lodges and two private cabins. Located on the beach, many of the rooms offer incredible bay views. Although remotely located there is electricity.
