Game Hunting Uganda

A recent addition to the safari hunting world, Uganda has only fairly recently been opened up to hunting. In bygone years Uganda was regarded as one of the top hunting destinations in Africa. With the care of locals and government officials alike, Uganda is on the right track to becoming a quality hunting destination. This area offers unique species that can't be found anywhere else on the Continent.

The equatorial tropical climate is moderated by Uganda's elevated altitude that averages over 1000metres above sea level. Most of the country is warm, averaging 26C during the day and 16C at night, with December to February being the hottest months.

Highland areas can see the mercury plunging and there are glaciers on the peaks of the Ruwenzoris. Uganda experiences varying rainfall patterns, the south sees the rainy season from April to may and again from October to November. The north's wettest months are from April to October. Expect rain at any time in western Uganda and the Lake Victoria region. Humidity, given Uganda's elevation is not as high as you would expect and generally low outside the rainy seasons.

Uganda is a Malaria zone, please consult your local travel doctor for vaccination requirements for this area. Your professional hunter carriesa first aid kit, while sophisticated medical services are available in nearby towns and cities.
