Game Hunting Namibia

For the discerning trophy hunter there are several countries on the African continent that, because of unique species, constitute a very special destination. Namibia is one, offering the diversity of the entire continent within the borders of a single country.

Three endemic game animals occur in the arid zone of south western Africa, the damara dik dik, the black faced impala and Hartman's zebra. Apart from these, the hunter can also bag the rare brown hyena.

Namibia is a destination that every serious trophy hunter will have to visit sooner or later.

WHAT TO BRING

  • 1 warm jacket
  • 1 set travel clothes
  • 1 pair of hunting boots - the most worn in and comfortable you have
  • 3 pairs of good socks - preferably ones that don't stick out over boots, there is a lot of burr grass in the veld which does not come out of socks.
  • 1 hat or cap - wide rimmed to protect ears
  • 2 sets of light weight hunting clothes - dark khaki or olive green
  • Back pack for during the day on the hunting vehicle
  • 40+ sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses

Neither Damarland or Kashjuna are malaria areas, however, you should carry a basic repellent (Peaceful Sleep available in Namibia is perfect). Also carry some basic medications including, Imodium, eye drops, antihistamine, light pain killer, etc if you suffer from hay fever, etc.

Laundry is done each day except for the days we change camps and the day of departure.

Electricity is 230 volts AC, 50Hz. Outlets are of the round three-pin type.
